Royal Mail strike, 4 November: how Ciconi can help you
Royal Mail workers have voted to go on national 24-hour strike on 4 November, the first national strike at Royal Mail in almost four years. According to the Communication Workers Union the vote was four-to-one in favour. Royal Mail says it is 'very disappointed' by the announcement and will do all it can to minimise the impact of any industrial action.
The Direct Marketing Association says that commercial users account for the biggest percentage of Royal Mail's turnover. Any disruption will lead businesses to look elsewhere.
At Ciconi, we are concerned at the impact a strike will have during a very busy time of year, when organisations are planning campaigns to avoid the Christmas peak. The unavailability of services, even for 24 hours, introduces unwelcome uncertainty.
If your campaign planning will be affected by this news, please contact our Customer Services team. We can discuss options and possibilities to mitigate the impact of any disruption.
