UPS purchase of TNT
UPS has agreed to buy TNT in a $6.8bn deal.
UPS is already the world's largest package-delivery company and the purchase of TNT will mean doubling in size in Europe, providing its customers with excellent road and air links to Europe.
The European market is currently dominated by DHL, UPS will now be able to compete with this giant as well as rival Fedex.
Predictions of growth are afoot as express delivery allows smaller firms to run long global supply chains that big companies require.
